Savor the Southwest
Our full motto is: appreciating, nurturing, and using the products of the Southwest.
We are a diverse group of individuals with a wide range of knowledge. All of us try to live in an earth-friendly (sustainable) fashion and will share with you our tips for living lightly on this Southwest desert land.
Combined we have a vast array of knowledge! We garden, forage, cook, raise mushrooms, raise animals, keep bees, rescue bees, have home orchards, harvest and use herbs and other products for cooking, health, crafts, not to mention writing books. We are all skilled at public speaking and can offer programs at your next meeting or event. (note- the books link will take you to Amazon.)
We are still working the bugs out of this website, but since we are more tuned into the natural world than the electronic one, this does not come easily. Please bear with us!
Harvest the Southwest Safely
Your food safety is important. Many Southwest plants have very specific steps to follow to insure health. From time to time we will post those harvesting guidelines in our blog.
